The FreeCell card game is a strategic solitaire variation that emphasizes careful planning and precise execution. In this game, players aim to organize a standard deck of 52 cards, arranged in eight columns facing upward on the playing surface. The objective is to move all cards into designated foundation piles, arranged by suit in ascending order from Ace through King.

Players can select any card from the top of a column for movement, provided that it follows an alternating color sequence (red and black) with descending rank. The game introduces four temporary storage spaces known as FreeCells, which can hold individual cards temporarily to facilitate complex moves.

When red and black cards are placed alternately, players are allowed to move sequences of cards collectively. The number of cards that can be moved simultaneously depends on the number of available FreeCells. Specifically, the permissible number of cards moved equals the total vacant FreeCells plus one. For instance, if two FreeCells are unoccupied, up to three cards can be moved together; if all four are vacant, five cards can be shifted at once. Conversely, when no FreeCells are available, only single-card moves are permissible.

The game is successfully completed once all cards are transferred to their respective foundation piles in ascending order from Ace to King for each suit.
